Often, people would say that watching tv is just to bade your time and waste away those minutes or hours, which you could have actually spend more productively.
But, i beg to differ.
Today i spent almost half of the day doing my work in front of the TV. Which obviously amounted to me watching TV most of the time. 2 shows actually left an impact on me. Positively, of course.
First show was Spectacular. Yea, its the new teen flick movie. -.-" I personally thought it was a lame show but, after watching it, i felt maybe it has a meaning behind the story after all. The movie is about a teen boy dreaming of becoming a rockstar. But he needed money for a recording so he joined this group of jazz choir( i think) named, Spectacular. They entered a competition and if they win, the teen boy would get half of the money. Anyway, he was in it for the money at first. But he soon came to realise how much being in Spectacular meant to each group member. He helped them change their style of performance and everyone did what they wanted. In the end they didnt win but he got to record, with Spectacular and his band that is.
Well, the point is, we all plan to be a someone in life. But during our voyage, we will meet forces that may deviate us a little from our paths. We've got to be open to this as these forces may be good or bad and may affect our end goal. Such as in Spectacular, where the boy(i forgot his name) want to be a rockstar but, he has to start from scratch. Along the way he met this group of people who helped him determine where he wanted to be at the end. He is still happy at the end.
So, it isn't the end prize that matters. What really matters is the journey and how it matures us and widen our perspective of life.
Sometimes, it's good to take a step back and let life flow. Just like a river. That way, the little wonders of life may just unfold right before your eyes. The second show was, my all time favourite to the maximum cartoon, Avatar: The Last Aibender!! Yu can never grow tired of this show. :D
I was watching the episode in the Earth Book when Aang and the gang was in Ba Sing Se and they found Appa.(if you watch Avatar, you would know what i mean) Anyway, there was this one part when Zuko's uncle asked Zuko what he wanted in life and what his destiny was. Then later when Zuko got to Appa, his uncle asked him again
"Who are you? And what do you want?!?"That was when i felt he was aiming the question at me too. Who am I? And what do i want? What do i want in life??
The true answer to those questions is..
I do not know yet.But i do know something for sure now.
Time is not on my side. For the very two things that i want, i have to act fast.
